Popup Dialog Settings
The following details the settings accessible from the AxcessD ‘Popup’ dialog.
Left Click on the AxcessD icon in the browser toolbar brings up the Popup Dialog.
Popup Dialog, Not logged in
If you are not logged in to AxcessD, the popup looks like this:
To Login: Enter your Username and Password in the username and password text boxes, then Click Login.
To Reset your Password: Enter your Username in the username text box, then left click on ‘Forgot your password?’. This will do two things – an email will be sent to your email address with a confirmation code, and a password reset confirm screen will be brought up:
Enter your new password in the ‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm Password’ text boxes, enter the Confirmation Code from the email, then click ‘Reset Password’. Your password will be reset to the new one and you will need to use it to login.
To Send Feedback: Click the ‘Send feedback’ link at the lower left. When you are not logged in, this will bring up the Contact form on the AxcessD website. This form can also be reached from the website menu selection Support > Contact. Please fill out the Name, Email, Subject, and Message text fields then click ‘Send’ to send us your question, comment, or concern, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Popup Dialog, Logged in
When you are logged in to AxcessD, the popup dialog will look like this:
The Plan Type Badge (1) indicates the type of plan you have, either Basic or Premium.
The Status Line (2) indicates the Username you are logged in with. Please make sure you are logged in with your own username.
To Logout: click the Logout Button (3)
To Enable/Disable ‘Protect on Submit’ (4): Click on the ‘Protect on Submit’ slider switch to Enable or Disable this feature. The switch toggles on or off when you click on it. Left/Gray (not shown) is off. Right/Blue (shown) is on.
If ‘Protect on Submit’ is OFF, you will first have to click on the AxcessD ‘Protect’ Icon to protect your data. The Protect Icon appears to the right of the text you are entering once you start entering it. After you click it, the text will be protected and appear as follows:
After protecting your data, click the normal submit button ( in the above case it is called ‘Post’) to submit the data to the Web platform.
Instead, if ‘Protect on Submit ‘ is ON, when you click the usual ‘Submit’, ‘Post’, ‘Send’, etc. button on a Web page to submit some data, the data will be automatically protected by AxcessD prior to being submitted to the Web platform. You do not have to click the AxcessD Protect Icon to protect the data first.
IMPORTANT NOTE! ‘Protect on Submit’ only works for Web Platforms that we have specifically added ‘Protect on Submit’ support for. Presently this is Facebook (‘Post’ button for main postings and ‘carriage return / enter’ for comments) and Gmail (‘Send’ button). For other platforms, even if the ‘Protect on Submit’ option is enabled, you will have to click the AxcessD Protect Icon first, then submit your data.
To Enable/Disable ‘Unprotect on page load’ (5): Click on the ‘Unprotect on page load’ slider switch to Enable or Disable this feature. The switch toggles on or off when you click on it. Left/Gray (not shown) is off. Right/Blue (shown) is on.
If ‘Unprotect on page load’ is OFF, when you load a web page that contains data that is protected by AxcessD, the protected data will NOT be unprotected until you click on the data. On a page containing multiple pieces of protected data, such as a Facebook page, you need to click on each piece of protected data that you would like to unprotect.
If ‘Unprotect on page load’ is ON, when you load a web page that contains data that is protected by AxcessD, the protected data will be unprotected automatically as the page is loaded. You do not have to click on the protected data to unprotect it.
To ‘Create/Edit Access Lists and more’ (6): Click on the ‘gear’ icon to open the main Options Settings page. The bulk of the AxcessD settings are contained on the Options Settings page. Please refer to Options Settings for information on the available settings.
To Rate AxcessD: (7). Click on the ‘Thumb Up’ or ‘Thumb Down’ to rate AxcessD in online Web stores such as Google Chrome Webstore or Mozilla Firefox Add Ons.
To Send Feedback(8): Click the ‘Send feedback’ link at the lower left. When you are logged in, a form that looks like the following is brought up:
Please enter your comment, question, or concern in the text box then click ‘Send Message’. Because you are logged in to AxcessD, the message that is sent to us will include some information that will help us to diagnose any issues you are having, including your username, your email address, the version of AxcessD you are running, the Browser in use, etc. You may instead send an email to us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
